Residents of Northern Canada will gain a new option for Internet connectivity after NovelSat Ltd. and Juch-Tech Inc. demonstrated their new Internet from satellite service to the Northern Communications and Information Services (NCIS.)
The high-speed NovelSat NS-3000 modems allower users to access the satellite Internet services provided by Juch-Tech. The NS-300 incorporates NS3 technology that maximizes spectral efficiency, allowing it to reach speeds of 730 Mbps. The combination ensures a fast and reliable Internet connection for thousands of Canadians in hard-to-reach areas of the North.
There are 75 isolated Arctic communities scattered across the northern part of of Canada. The families, schools, government agencies, and businesses in these remote communities used to content themselves with Internet and communication services that were inferior to those in the rest of the country.
However, recent technological developments and the appearance of competitive service providers like JuchTech and NovelSat are bringing more reliable and affordable Internet from satellite solutions to these remote areas.
